Intensive 5 day Argentium silver workshop with Ronda Coryell

Class Outline:
In this five-day class, students will be shown the technology and techniques required to work with Argentium Sterling Silver. Students will learn the processes of fusing, fabrication, and granulation, without using solder.
Argentium is a special silver alloy that is tarnish-resistant, fuses well and offers other amazing properties that are different from sterling.
Students learn the process of granulation by fusing. Individual designs encouraged. Demonstrations are followed by hands-on experience to create and finish four projects: a pair of earrings, two granulated rings and a 2 part tongue and groove clasp with bezel set stone.

Material kit fee of $260 for all 4 projects is included in the registration fee. Basic metal working skills are needed for this workshop, such as sawing, filing and basic forming. Experience with a torch will be helpful although not essential.
All required tools are provided. Students are encouraged to bring Optivisors to help facilitate working with small granules.
Payment Details
Workshop Fee: $1475.00 +HST per person, includes kit fee for materials, consumables.
