This week I had the opportunity to chat with Renee from Red Orchid Travel about Tahitian pearls. It was something out of my comfort zone as recording something for a You Tube channel seemed quite intimidating. I am trying very hard to say yes to things I find challenging to push myself out of my comfort zone.
We had a lovely chat and I got to talk about one of my favorite subjects – pearls! I reflected on my 25th anniversary trip to Fiji and discovering Fiji pearls. Tahitian pearls and Fijian pearls are quite similar in nature. They both offer a wide spectrum of natural colours that make them truly unique and rare.
We also chatted about what to look for when shopping for Tahitians. I did a quick showcase of some of the ways I have used Tahitian and Fijian pearls and how it’s possible to craft exquisite jewellery using slightly imperfect pearls at a more accessible price point
I am envious of Renee and her lucky group going to Tahiti and would love to be a stowaway. If the people and the sights of Tahiti are as lovely as Fiji, I can only imagine how incredible this trip will be.
